Utah Roads

Roads are based on the US Census Bureaus TIGER 2014 data, the latest available. The Utah roads include Interstate to 4WD. Federal and state highways are shown in distinct colors and with unique shields for quick identification.

All city streets are included, while not routable, the road features greatly aid navigation. When small town streets were coincident with highways, the town street segments were deleted. This greatly improved highway shields especially at wide zoom levels. The roads contain no street addresses, so removing the numerous "Main Streets" coincident with highways has few disadvantages. Don't be surprised if you find an occasional orphan road, just floating by itself. Also, given the tendency to only add roads and to never delete roads, as you get more remote some roads may no longer exist. Almost all TIGER roads were deleted within National Forest boundaries, see the separate topic.
